Portraits of Professional Practice

The Thinking Historically: Portraits of Professional Practice project investigates the different contexts of history education in Canada. The project focuses on understanding how the context where history is taught shapes educators’ practices, and the unique opportunities and challenges educators experience teaching history in their contexts. As part of this project, teachers were invited to collaborate with the research team to co-create narratives showcasing their diverse experiences.

Use the map below to explore the co-created narratives and learn more about teachers’ experiences, opportunities, and challenges teaching history in their context.
